I have got my template from the template book and I am editing it in Photoshop CS5. I have copied my logo over onto the packaging and added another flower brush tool onto the box above it.

The second photo on the right, I have then designed my own logo from a website and added my own number into it to get my bar code for the packaging.















I then added the word 'bath salts' onto the packages and used brush tools around it to give it a nice look and it shows people what the product is. The second photo is then of the almost finished packaging. I have put brush tools around all the sides of the box so it doesn't look plan. I think it looks simple yet effective. I have then used different grey colours around the outside to again give it a nice complete look.

Packages

These are the two boxes I am using for my two products. I have printed them out and worked out which face is what so then when it comes to designing them I know where to place things. When printing them out for my final product i am going to print them out either the small size they are as proto-types or on A3 paper.

Poster

This is the top part of my poster.I have used Photoshop CS5. I have used my logo on the poster so people know the company name. I have then used brush tools to get the two flowers around the poster. The next photo is the bottom of the poster. I again used brush tools to get that design. I then made up an email address and phone number and put them onto the poster. There is a problem in the photo because the flower at the top of the page is from a previous brush. However the space in the middle of the poster will be filled in soon with two photo's of the packages I am currently designing.

The photo above is the finished poster until I take two photographs of my two finished packages which I have got to complete next week.

Packaging and Poster colours

This photo above is for my packages. When doing the questionnaire people prefered purple and I wanted all my colours to be a pastel typed colour. I feel that this purple is good enough for the two packages which I am making. I am also going to be using a second purple colour for another packaging. The colour below is the second colour I am going to be using. It is more of a darker pastel purple but I think they would both be perfect for the packages.

For this photo is it going to be my poster colour. I like this colour because it is a little lighter than the other colour for the packages and it doesn't clash with the packaging colours and it is a lot different. I think it works well for the company and it does look girly and the way I wanted it to look. 



Finished Logo Design

This is my finished logo that I made in Photoshop CS5.
To get the font I used the website, ' http://www.dafont.com/search.php?q=honey+script '. The font is called Honey Script and when looking at my questionnaire peope did like this font. I wanted to use this font because it has the look I was wanting which is curvy and like it is flowing. To get the two flowers I used the website, ' http://www.brusheezy.com/ '. When i drew one of my logo's i imagened the letter N and the the flower flowing into on another but when I actually began to making the logo I found that i prefered it underneath the letters. The second flower on the left is also from the same website and I had a bit of trouble with this because it didn't look right with any colour. After speaking with my Tutor I then lined the left flower up with the top of the letters and the sides too and i thought it fitted better. I did origionally plan to use a leaf but when i saw that flower I liked it better because it did still have leaves. I chose the colours green because my company is about natural beauty and green is usually the colour which shows natural products so I thought green fitted in well all together. I think my logo is good because even though there isn't much happening, it is unique and it tells the target audience what it is by just looking at it.

In today's lesson i have printed out my two packages and started to print them out to see what they will look like once put together. i will then need to start designing onto my photoshop templates on the packages. next lesson i need to choose my colour or my poster.

On thursday 26th gathered up all my results and make pie charts of the results. on Friday I finished gathering it together.
Wednesday 2nd I started my production. I have now completed my logo and I am currently designing my poster to promote the company and packagings.
